Brian Massumi: Ontomacht - Kunst, Affekt und das Ereignis des Politischen (Merve Verlag, Berlin 2010)

Together with Brian Massumi and his German translator Claudia Weigel, the publishing house Merve Verlag Berlin will launch a brand new selection of translated texts by the Canadian philosopher. The book Ontomacht - Kunst, Affekt und Ereignis des Politischen is Massumi's first publication in German language and consists of essays and interviews on Massumi's key topics such as the event, art, affect politics, media theory and political philosophy.

Besides editing and authoring numerous publications such as his latest work Parables of the Virtual: Movement, Affect, Sensation (Duke University Press, 2002), Massumi is the English translator of Deleuze/Guattari's Mille Plateaux. He currently teaches at the University of Montreal at the Communication Science Department as well as the European Graduate School in Saas-Fee, Switzerland.
