ISEA2010 RUHR Performances and Workshops in Essen
The festival kicks off with performances, workshops and a thematic conference
focus on body, media and presence. Norah Zuniga Shaw (us) and her collaborators present Synchronous Objects as a main installation with an associated laboratory facilitated by Scott deLahunta (nl) for knowledge sharing and discussion. On the evenings of 20 and 21 August, Mette Ingvartsen (dk/be) stages her performative installation Evaporated Landscapes and Xavier Le Roy (fr) presents his choreography Le sacre du printemps.
ISEA2010 RUHR Conferences and Keynotes in Dortmund
From 23 to 27 August 2010, an international academic conference will bring
together more than one hundred speakers in Dortmund. All conference contributions have been selected in a peer-reviewing process by an international jury from over thousand proposals. The ISEA2010 RUHR Keynotes at Konzerthaus Dortmund will deal with current sociopolitical discourses at the intersection between politics, art and the information society.
ISEA2010 RUHR Concerts and Club in Dortmund
Also musically ISEA2010 will set the tone: On three evenings Fennesz (at), Hildur
Guðnadóttir (is), Éliane Radigue (fr), Keiichiro Shibuya (jp) and other distinguished
musicians and sound artists play their latest compositions of electronic music in a
concert hall with outstanding acoustics. An adventurous programme of audiovisual performances, livesets and club music by international artists and selected local acts rounds off the nights in Dortmund.
